She was predeceased by: her son Manuel Barrera III; and her brother Jorge Castillo. She is survived by: her parents, Juventino Castillo and Cecelia Castillo; her children, Blue Angel Barrera, David Barrera and Jay Castillo; her siblings, Juventino Castillo, Jr., Sergio Castillo and Leticia Castillo; and her grandchildren, Janett Castillo and Ivy Castillo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Compean Funeral Home (2102 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77012). A vigil service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
