With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Washington Jr. in Houston, Texas, who passed away on July 7, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Washington, Sr. and Ella Jones Washington; his wife Yolanda Bryant Washington; his siblings, Elmoses Jones and Martha Washington; and his nephew David Washington.
He is survived by: his children, Dana Wilkins (Tracy) of Missouri City, Daniel Washington, III of Missouri City, Sharon Caleb Martinez (Pablo), John C. Bivens, II of Houston, Clarence Bivens (JaShika) of Webster, Lola Mark of Clear Lake, Connie Pown (Joe) of Garland and Karen Bivens; his nephew Darrell Washington (Carolyn); and his great-niece Demonica Smith (Sissy).
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Grove Hill Missionary Baptist Church (115 1st St E, Pledger, TX 77468). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
