She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Black and Lula Black; her husband Van Charles; her siblings, Freddie Black Sr. and Parilee Reynolds; and her siblings' children, Mamie Williams, Rosa Parnell and Leonard Black Sr..
Viewing was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gloryland Missionary Baptist Church (7440 Coffee St, Houston, TX 77033). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at the Paradise North Cemetery (10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088).
