She is survived by: her brother Lawrence "Buck" Curtis; her daughters, Debra (Jeff Spearman) and Jamie Poole; her grandchildren, Ryan (Beth Spearman), Lauren (Matt Thurston) and Lynsey Maudlin; her great grandchildren, Ansley, Caleb Spearman, Sam, Violet Thurston, Aurora Mitchell and Jordis Magness; her grandchildren, Amanda Howe, Kristen Howe-Burman, Aaron Breeden and Makenna Fox; Jimmy.

“Doris was the most loving and sweet friend anyone could have. We worked together at Union Carbide and remained dear friends all these years. She was absolutely one of the most wonderful human beings I have ever known. My heart hurts to know she's gone. She loved her family and we all felt like we knew each one of you from her wonderful stories. She is with Jesus now and probably having the time of her life as she did everywhere she went.
