He is survived by: his children, Ruth Cooper (Brian), Charles Thornton-Kolbe (Jennifer) and Tom Kolbe (Laura Salem); and his grandchildren, Noah Oglesby, Emma Thornton-Kolbe, Evan Thornton-Kolbe, Elias Thornton-Kolbe, Judd Salem and Bella Salem.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Southpointe Christian Church (7010 Helen Witt Dr, Lincoln, NE 68512).
