He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Roth Janes, Sr. and Mary Kathryn Lennon Janes; his sister Rosemary Janes MacQueen; and his wife Anne Smith Janes. He is survived by: his daughter Carol Moya; his granddaughter Anastasia of Austin, TX; his daughter Susan Janes-Johnson (Scott Johnson) of Wilmington, DE; his grandchildren, Roth, Maya, Betsy Farr (David Farr) of College Station, TX, Megan, Kathryn and Jack; his stepsiblings, LoAnne Mayer and Jack Janes; his brother-in-law Milton Smith (Carolee); and his friend Mary Britton (Skip). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Brazos Towers (4141 S Braeswood Blvd, Houston, TX 77025). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Usa Event Center (4141 S Braeswood Blvd, Houston, TX 77025).
