She was predeceased by: her parents, José "Joe" Gabriel Barrera of Nuevo León, Mexico and San Juana "Jane" Saldaña Barrera; her sister Gloria Diez Garcia (Angel); her former husband Thomas David Montgomery; and her daughters, Elizabeth Montgomery and Leah Rae Borg.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Darrell Montgomery of Virginia, Erin Meredith Montgomery and Lara Ysabel Klukas (Jim) of Houston; her grandchildren, Alyssa Claire Borg, Christopher Alexander Patton, Alexis Victoria Murdock, Meredith Grace Morley (Austin), Joshua Ethan Murdock, Madeline Camille Klukas, Lauren Elizabeth Klukas, Emily Blair Montgomery and Thomas George Montgomery; her great grandchildren, Hadi Christopher Patton, Reed Gabriel Patton and Bentley James Gallardo; her niece Susan Saenz-Solis (Fred); her half-sister Irene Barrera Gonzales (Larry); and her extended family, Tresa, David Olsen, Tina, Bobby North, Allen, Susan Montgomery, Jane Ann, Jake Finley and Beth Montgomery.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Vazquez Funeral Home (1805 Huge Oaks St, Houston, TX 77055). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church (12535 Perthshire Rd, Houston, TX 77024). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Glenwood Cemetery (2525 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007).
