She is survived by: her children, Michelle Groves (Charles) and Kelvin Melancon; her grandchildren, Alfred Groves, Ebony Melancon, Kelvin Melancon, Jr. (Brieauna), Jasmine Groves and Vanessa Melancon (Clarence); and her sisters, Ruby Shelley (Calvert) and Catherine Booker. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
