He was predeceased by: his parents, Ike Griffin and Carrie Griffin; and his siblings, Issac Griffin, Vernice Lauder, Gloria Dean Greene, Irene Davis and H. J. Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Billye Joyce Griffin (McDonald); his children, Patrice Michelle Griffin-Stull and Michael A. Griffin; and his grandchildren, Breanna'Latrice Stull, Michael A. Randle, Zachery J. Griffin and Michael A. Griffin Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
