It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Richard Getches of Houston, Texas, who passed away on April 11, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his stepfather Ben Anders; his wife Christina Stewart; his stepchild Camille; his parent Martha Bastin Anders; his stepparents, John B. Anders (Ben) and Genevieve Lane; his siblings, Cyndi Goetcheus Sarfan, Susan L. Goetcheus and Scott Goetcheus; his brother-in-law Richard Marshall; his stepsiblings, Vance Lane (Suzi), Jay Anders (Susie), Nicholas Anders and Corinne Anders; and his nieces and nephews, Matilda Marshall, Lucy Marshall, Harry Marshall, Ryan Sarfan and Austin Sarfan.
The family suggests that donations in J.R.'s honor be made to any of the following organizations: The World Wildlife Fund (worldwildlife.org), the Red Wolf Coalition (redwolves.com), The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (aspca.org), The Angiosarcoma Project (cureasc.org) or any other organization that helps animals or people in need (local homeless shelters, for example).
