With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Porter of Houston, Texas, born in Longview, Texas, who passed away on January 3, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Porter and Johnnie Porter; his son James Keith Porter; and his sisters, Freda Trott and Aileen Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Susan Porter Leigh (Jerry Leigh) and Jeffrey Allen Porter (Cynthia Porter); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Jason Porter, Mathew J. Larsen Porter (Kelly Porter), Kyle J Allen Porter, Jerry Porter Leigh (Erica Leigh), Kaitlin Jan Porter, Andrew Marlon Leigh (Grace Leigh) and Joseph David Alexander Porter; and his great grandchildren, Jack Allen Porter, Austin Elizabeth Porter and Wesley Porter Leigh.
