She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sri T. S. Pattibiraman and Smt; her husband Dev Mahadevan; her children, Geetha Mahadevan of Spring Texas, Pritha Workman (Lucas Workman) of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and Vinay Mahadevan (Anupreet Mahadevan) of Arcadia Oklahoma; her sister Saroja Srinivasan of Pondicherry India; and her grandchildren, Vikranth, Liam, Henry, James, Arvind, Aaryan and Veera.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lakshmi's memory to the Gentle Barn, an organization dedicated to the causes she most cherished: animals, children and compassion.
