It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Irving Serota (Houston, Texas), who passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Shelly Chadwin Serota. He is survived by: his sons, Jared (Katherine Sher) and Jason (Carly Serota); his sister Shelly (Ed Gardner); his grandchildren, Sadie, Reece, Shay, Naomi and Eleanor; his significant other Melody Allen; his partner's children, Mandy and Ty (Kylee); Hudson, Camden and Calla.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery (7445 Awty School Ln, Houston, TX 77055).

I will miss you and our banter back and forth about Philly sports teams events. Of course, you always had to be right, but I got used to it. Rest easy my friend.”
