Lester F. Wright Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hannah Sellers and Lester Frazier. She is survived by: her children, Lester, Lady Wright, Yellowbird and Cornelius Wright, Jr. (Tim); her daughter-in-law Rhonda; her daughter Elisse Barnes (Lisa); her granddaughters, Ava, Hannah and Lyric Clark (Jacovon); her sister Yolanda Johnson; and her aunt Ann Dargan. She is also survived by many family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church Without Walls (5725 Queenston Blvd, Houston, TX 77084).
During her recent visits to Columbus, she kept a schedule that would have exhausted a person half her age, being feted and celebrated for her contributions to the city, including being inducted into the Columbus Hall of Fame in 2023 and serenaded at the Martin Luther King Center Heritage Music Festival in 2024.
