She was predeceased by: her parents, Guadalupe Cortez and Julia Cortez; and her siblings, Mike, Lupe, Pete, Toney, Carmen, Helen and Esther.
She is survived by: her siblings, Johnny, Fernando, Joe, Mary, Virginia and Estella. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Crespo (2516 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery (6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023).
