We are sad to announce that, on December 8, 2025, at the age of 93, Marilyn Derby of Houston, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Marilyn find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dietsch and Ellen Dietsch; her sister Virginia Taraska; her husbands, Charles E. Oberg of Frewsburg, NY and Edward R. Derby; and her stepchildren, Carole L. Finger and Daniel J. Oberg.
She is survived by: her sons, David C. Oberg of Warren and John C. Oberg (Iris) of Auburn, CA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church of Warren or the Warren County Humane Society- Paws Along the River.
