Though Mary Lou may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Neal Kennemer and Minnie Kennemer; and her son Lanis Hitt, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Janis Melton and Peggy Giangrosso. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pat H. Foley & Company (1200 W 34th St, Houston, TX 77018). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039).
