He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie Joachim and Samuel Joachim; and his wife Tobye Fram Joachim. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Joachim (Kimberly), Karen Finkelman-Hasson (Steve) and Linda Kantor (Curtis); his grandchildren, David Finkelman (Jennifer), Jason Joachim (Kayli), Joshua Finkelman (Paige), Jonathan Finkelman, Jeremy Joachim (Rebeka), Brooke Kantor (Jerry), Adam Finkelman and Sean Kantor; his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy, Hannah Hasson, Saran, Reina and Gabrielle Melchor; and his great grandchildren, Abigail, Margo, Jonah, Eleanor, Isabella, Jonathan, Sadie Rae, Zev and Julian.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sophia and Jack Bender Memorial Chapel at Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery (7445 Awty School Ln, Houston, TX 77055).
