He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Rex Jackson and Rubye Miller Jackson; his parents-in-law, William Cuberley Veale and Mickie Veale Lepley; his sister-in-law Cristal Jackson; his aunt Nancy Adenia Geschke; and his great-nephew Pacey Clayton.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Jackson; his daughters, Kelsey Jackson-Schneider (Dylan) and Marley Jackson; his close friend Finn Schneider; his brothers, Gary Jackson (Patricia) and Mark Jackson; his father-in-law Ralph Marshall Lepley; his sisters-in-law, Kimberley Clayton (Jerry Lewis), Martha Gomillion (David) and Kristin Priebe (Alex); his nieces and nephews, Michael Jackson (Nikki), Christopher Jackson (Sylvia), Sarah, Jackson, Daniel Jackson (Allisa), Rachel Clayton, Micah Clayton (Lindsey), Leah Clayton, Misty Clayton, Jessica Nail, Kaitlyn Tatsch (Jordan), Kamryn Cammack, Cuberley Cammack (Kayla), Ryan Gomillion (Alex), Luke Gomillion, Maxwell Priebe (Rylie) and Michael Priebe (Quinn); and his pets, Bodhi, Jayce and Otis. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Central Baptist Church (2885 Greenhouse Rd, Houston, TX 77084). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In Lieu of Flowers In honor of Rex's lifelong love for children, teenagers, and ministry, the Jackson family has established the Rex Jackson Camp Fund to provide scholarships for children and youth to attend camp through Central Baptist Church. Those wishing to honor Rex's memory are invited to make donations to the Rex Jackson Camp Fund through, Central Baptist Church.
