He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet Stein and Louis Stein. He is survived by: his wife Judy Miller Stein; his children, Dan Stein (Robin) and Sheryl Goodkin (Jarett); his grandchildren, Mikayla Goodkin, Jeremy Goodkin, Aaron Stein and Hannah Stein; and his brother Marvin Stein.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery (7445 Awty School Ln, Houston, TX 77055).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in Richard's memory to Congregation Emaunu El Helfman Religious School, http://www.emanuelhouston.org, where Judy taught for 50 years.
