She was predeceased by: her son Christopher Klodzinski; and her sister Mary McBride. She is survived by: her husband Bubba Forester; her children, John Klodzinski and Tammy Howell; her grandchildren, Mia Klodzinski, Lane Howell, Jolie Carey and Thomas Carey; her great grandchild Lana Carey; and her siblings, Robert Primeaux, David Primeaux, Peggy Bocangera, Diana Marceaux (Woodrow), Darla Primeaux and Alice Shaw (Gary).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Rita's memory.
