He was predeceased by: his mother Eliza Ann Short; and his sister Aleighia Jassel Barrera. He is survived by: his father Jesus Escalante (Cristina); his wife Deissi Ibet Dosal; his daughter Aleighia Jassel Short; his siblings, Chris Escalante, Alfredo Escalante, Lajanique Short, Alexis Mendoza and Nadia Escalante; his cousins, Robert, Jonathan, Alyssa, Jalissa, Clarissa, Leila, Jose, Mariah, Eliza, Isabel, Julie, Eric and Issac; his grandmother Maria Short; and his great-grandparent Evangelina Cazares. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
