He is survived by: his wife Amelia; his friend Lupe Torres; his caregivers, Patricia Sandoval, Adriana Montes, Mercedes Rodriguez and Denia Gallo; his sons, Salomon Elmer Mercado and Gerardo Mercado; and his grandchildren, Emilia Rosselli Mercado Moreno of Houston and Salomon Elmer Mercado Montalvo of Monterrey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home (6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery (6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023).
