He is survived by: his wife Marilyn DeMoss Sumner; his sister Jane Humphreys (Bruce); his nephews, Thomas Humphreys of Austin and Michael Humphreys (Chelsea); his great-nieces, Ellie and Harper of Houston; his brother-in-law Robert DeMoss (Sharyl) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his godson Jason Bell (Carolina); Nathan and Andrew.
