With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Gayle Martin of Huffman, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2026 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Koon and Helen Koon; and her husband Jim Martin. She is survived by: her children, Chris Martin of Houston, TX and Jamie Kieffer (Patrick) of Humble, TX.; her grandchildren, Emily Kieffer, Evan Kieffer, Jacob Martin and Ava Martin; and her brothers, Dan Koon and David Koon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Home (17404 W Lake Houston Pkwy, Atascocita, TX 77346). A rosary was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church (2308 3rd St, Huffman, TX 77336).
