It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dewayne Blackhawk Abbey of Humble, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on March 2, 2023, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Kathy Abbey; his aunt Patsy Flores; his grandparents, Ross Abbey, Sr. and Etta Mae Abbey; his uncle Stewart Abbey; his grandparents, Edward Butler and Donna Butler; his uncles, Quinton Butler and Ronald Butler; and his aunt Deanna Butler.
He is survived by: his father John Butler of Houston, Texas; his sisters, Joanne Langley (Jackson) of Livingston and Julianne Butler of Houston, Texas; his aunts and uncles, Larry Abbey (Diane Thompson), Bill Beene (Violene), Ross Abbey, Jr. (Deanna), Quana Easley (Susan), David Butler, Sr. (Donna) and Brent Butler (Vicky); his great-aunt Christine Poncho; and his great-uncle James Cody Poncho. He is also survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends.
