He is survived by : his wife Geraldine Lemons (Goodwin); his son Doyle Wayne; his stepchildren, Karen Meador, William Hair, Donna Merimon and Angela Hill; his grandchildren, Laylie, Drayden, Daxden, Michael, Brian, Joey, Nathan, Jamie, Tara, Kevin, Mason, Brooklyn, McKenna, Jacob, Aaron and Casey; and his sister Charlotte Thompson. He is also survived by 14 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kingwood Funeral Home (22800 US-59, Kingwood, TX 77339). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
