She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Harris and Victor Harris; her son Michael Steven McDaniel; and her brothers, Kenneth Harris and Don Harris.
She is survived by: her husband Vergil McDaniel; her children, Vicki Shultz and Robert McDaniel; her brother Paul Harris; and her grandchildren, Chris Knight, Robyn Distefano, Dale McDaniel and Nicole Loyd. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Roberts and Cook Funeral Service (101 Edgewood Ln, Carmi, IL 62821). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Florence's memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Carmi, Illinois and will be accepted by Roberts and Cook Funeral Service who has been entrusted with the arrangements.
