He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elias Montoya and Cristina Montoya of Houston, Texas.; his daughters, Elizabeth Huckabee (Brian Huckabee), Rosie Cobb (Zach Cobb), Jennifer Garcia (Luis Garcia), Lori Almeda (Everardo Almeda) and Catherine Carranza; his siblings, Mary (Juan Hernandez), Esther (Henry Ortiz), Maggie (Salvador Negrete), Linda Montoya, David (Yvonne Montoya), Steve (Gloria Montoya), Javier (Julio Montoya) and Daniel Montoya; his wife Rose Montoya; and his sister Yolanda Ramirez. He was also cherished by 27 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
