It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenya Mary Lei McElveen of Humble, Texas, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Caldin Tinyman McElveen and Lula Smith; and her grandparents, Jack Johnson McElveen and Emma Drayton McElveen. She is survived by: her brother Shawn Joshua McElveen; her nephews, Waymon, Zarian, Shaquille, Dreux McElveen, Mon'Yae, Azere, Za'marjai and Shai; her godchildren, Ky Shana Booker, Terrence DeJean and Kaylen Glenn; and her caregiver Cornelia Smith.
