He was predeceased by: his father Rodwell Young; his stepfather James Bowen; and his mother Hazel Bowen. He is survived by: his children, Sharrett Young, Sharon Lewis, Diane Ottley, Carmeta Tasher, Keisha Reyes, Paul Young, Alvin Young, Eian Young and Justin Young; his siblings, Merlene Jenkins, Laura Cargill, Concie Young, Carlton Young, Jeffrey Bowen, Raymond Young, Roy Bowen and Joel Bowen; and his sons-in-law, Kirk Lewis and Charleston Ottley. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and wreath, school supplies will be accepted instead and donated to the Gales Point Methodist School in honor of Windell Young's memory.
