He was predeceased by: his parents, John Russell Nerren (Jake) and Opal Nerren (Freeman); and his siblings, Ralph Nerren and Edith Nerren Carrell. He is survived by: his daughter Christi Nerren; his son-in-law Gary Dugat; his children, John Michael Nerren and Cheryl Nerren; his son-in-law Cory Posvic; his daughters, Emily Nerren and Sheila Nerren; his grandchildren, JulieKae Cornelius (Lance), Garrett Nerren and Kaylynn Nerren; and his great grandchildren, Jancyn, Landyn and Hollyn Cornelius. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Shafer Funeral Home (600 N John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904-0353). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
