With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Collins of Huntington, Texas, born in Chireno, Texas, who passed away on May 23, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Nonnie Mae (Foreman); her husband Tom Collins; her grandson Hunter Carrell; and her siblings, Homer Phillips and Pauline Spinks.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis (Cynthia Collins), Charlotte (Joe Sheddan), Ramona Hanna, Larry (Beverly Collins) and Jason (Rachel Collins); her grandchildren, Joe Sheddan, Jr., Jaclyn (Todd Hutson), Keisha Collins, Sonia (Jared Reneau), Raela (Tyler Dhone), Hallie Hanna, Caleb (Alyssa Collins), Blake (Kayla Collins), Wesley (Tessa McNeely), Marshall Fredieu, Jason (Raquel Carrell), Ethan Collins and Hannah Collins; her sisters, Nora Dean Holloway of San Augustine, Willean Conte of New York, Lucille Burnett of Huntington and Ethel Simms of Lufkin; and her close friends, Belva Hanna, Barbara Perkins and Ozias. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
