He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arvin and Bertie Evelyn Masters (Scott); and his siblings, Mary Ellen James and Gene Masters. He is survived by: his wife Mary Dolores Masters (Nickles); his children, Lori (Richard Payne) and Alan Masters; his granddaughters, Anna (Aaron Deaver) and Emily Payne; and his great grandchildren, Everett and Dainy Deaver. He is also survived by many other extended family members and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1461, Hurst, Texas 76053.
