It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Ruth Dunn (Hurst, Texas), born in Austin, Texas, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Estelle Adair (Bennett) and Thomas Oscar Adair; and her husband Garrey C. Dunn. She is survived by: her children, Garrey C. "Buddy" Dunn, Jr. (Melanie) of Garland, Matthew Dunn (Debra) of Bridgeport and Cassandra Ferrell of Hurst; her siblings, Laura Hunter (Charles) and Tim Adair (Delores) of Palestine; her grandchildren, Bethany Dunn, Jarrod Ferrell, Garrey Michael Ferrell, Chad Moore and Casey Kolkman (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Cyler, Jaci, Aubrey, Lily, Dax, Knox and Austin; and her sister-in-law Ruby Dunn of Desoto. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of church family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1248 W Hurst Blvd, Hurst, TX 76053).
