We announce the death of Carylon Mahaney Vaughan (Hurst, Texas), born in Lamesa, Texas, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 72. Carylon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Mahaney and Virginia Mahaney. She is survived by: her husband Steve; her children, Jenny Polasek (Jason), Taryn Reeves (Rob), Cale Vaughan and Drew Vaughan; her grandchildren, Preston Reeves, Whytney Reeves, Henry, Clara Polasek, Gannon, Emersyn Vaughan and Brayden Parton; her sister Cathy Miller (Chuck); and her siblings-in-law, James Vaughan (Reggie) and Teresa Ward (Jerry). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1248 W Hurst Blvd, Hurst, TX 76053).
