He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Earl and Eunice Dora Crone Sooter; his grandfathers, David Earl Sooter and Cyrus Scott Crone; the mother of his children Chlorea; his brothers, Eugene, Ray, Wayne and Jimmy Sooter; his sisters-in-law, Jean, Evelyn, Inez, Chris and Jeannette Sooter (Oneida England); and also David Griffin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Sooter and Patsy Herring (Dee); his sister-in-law Francis Sooter; his nieces and nephews, Banay Newton (Lehman) and Scott Sooter; his grandchildren, Sarah Sooter, Phillip Newton (Sarah), Kiersten Lipps (David), Adam Newton (Stefani), Madison Sooter, Margaret Newton (Joe Aronson) and Marlena Sooter; his great grandchildren, Lucy Newton and Forest Newton; his grandson Kevin Garrett (Charlie); his great grandchildren, Geordian Abel (Austin), Brooks Garrett and Kobe Garrett; his great great grandchild Hutton Abel; and also Sandi Griffin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
