He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Bryant and Juanita Bryant. He is survived by: his children, Barry Bryant (Maria) and Leslie Miller (Brian); his grandchildren, Jennifer Bryant Kielius (Stephen), Caleb Miller (Caity), Erin Miller Britten (Gabriel), Sarah Bryant Avant (Scott) and Jeb Miller; and his great grandchildren, Marley Miller and Clara Britten.

While Gary received numerous awards for his contributions to the field of education, he was most proud of his family.
