She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Watts and Louise Watts; her husband David E. Martin Sr.; her brother Willie Watts Jr.; and her granddaughter Shantel K. Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Renard Watts (Michelle), Ronald Watts (Bernice), Claudine "Yvette" Armstead (Kendric), Claude Davis (Jessica), Latoya Lloyd (David) and Victoria Toney (John); her siblings, Roosevelt Douglas, Sammy Watts and Joyce Watts; her sisters-in-law, Mildred "Cookie" Watts, Lois Davis, Doris Davis and Carey; and her aunt Bessie Ransom. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 5 great – grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Later to further her education in New Orleans, LA with Oschner Foundation Graduate Medical Education and Loyola University completing her degree as a Registered Nurse.
