She was predeceased by: her parents, Thanh Thị Nguyễn and Tiếu Công Nguyễn; her nephew Alfred Jr. Gomez; and her sister Minh Huệ Nguyễn. She is survived by: her husband Liệt Tất Trần; her children, Alan Khôi (Hải Yến Trần) and Linh (Kyle Napier); her grandchildren, Jasmine Trần, Jacob Trần, Brighton Napier and Rory Napier; and her sisters, Minh Duyên Nguyễn, Minh Hường Nguyễn, Minh Hoa Nguyễn, Minh Hồng Nguyễn and Minh Trang. She is also survived by her grandchildren, joking with her son-in-law, or sharing stories with her children.
She provided charitable contributions to help rebuild a community center in Hà Tỉnh, North Việt Nam after a devastating storm, and she sponsored an orphanage in Việt Nam.
