He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Escalon and Enriqueta Escalon; his significant other Maria Cruz Martinez; his son Ben Escalon Jr.; and his siblings, Simona Escalon, Guadalupe Arambula, Thomas Escalon and Elias Escalon.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Martinez (Fernando), Thomas Escalon (Kathy) and Mark Escalon (Melinda); his grandchildren, Aaron Martinez (Robbie), Austin Escalon (Sheena), Jordan Hernandez, Avery Escalon, Abigail Escalon, Samuel Mark Escalon, Michael Delaney (Lauren), Amber Robertson (Chad) and Kimberly Chupik (Josh); his great grandchildren, Ryker Escalon, Kree Escalon, Daphne Escalon, Kaylee Robertson, Lucas Robertson and Makena Robertson; and his siblings, Gilbert Escalon, Mateo Escalon, Pedro Escalon, Victor Escalon, Eva Garza, Frank Escalon, Henry Escalon, Joe Escalon and Elva Castellano.
