She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleofas Herrera and Tomasa Herrera (Cruz); her husband Sotero Peralez, Sr.; her daughter Esther Peralez; and her grandson Jonathan Peralez.

She is survived by: her children, Elvira Garcia (Ray) of San Antonio, Ernest Peralez (Rosa) of Idalou, Rosa Garza (Lorenzo) of Idalou, Sotero Peralez, Jr. (Janie) of Idalou, Alfredo Peralez of Idalou, Luis Peralez (Linda) of Idalou and Joe Peralez (Brenna) of Idalou. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, with another great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Philip Catholic Benizi Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church.
