Doris M. McCord Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Doris M. McCord of Inez, Texas. Doris, born on October 7, 1930, passed away on June 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Garvel and Mary Annie Pancherz Garvel; her son Earl McCord; her siblings, Louis Garvel, Edward Garvel and Bertha Kabela; and her son-in-law James Simmons.

She is survived by: her children, Allan McCord, Rex McCord (Eileen), Dwayne McCord (Dawn), Linda Simmons and Diane McCord; her daughter-in-law Nancy McCord; her husband William B. "Ben" McCord; her great grandchild Shelby McCord; her grandsons, Christopher McCord, Allan McCord, Jr. and Sean McCord; and her grandsons-in-law, Todd McGarity and Ty Perman. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
