He is survived by: his wife Julia Barrientez; his sons, David and Chris Barrientez; his granddaughters, Dominique Aldape (Eric), Isabel Aldape (Jordan) and Alexandria Barrientez-Mendoza (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Avery Gonzales and Noah Castellon; his sister Connie Authement; his niece Sandra Nichols (Bob); and his sisters-in-law, Maria De Carmen, Juanita Barrientez and Estella Almazan.
