We are sad to announce that, on May 15, 2025, at the age of 74, Mary Lydia Cantu of Ingleside, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mary's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her son Louis Aguilar, Jr.; and her parents, Ysabel Velasquez and Lydia Velasquez. She is survived by: her husband Apolonio R. Cantu of Ingleside, Texas; her children, Rene Aguilar, Chris Aguilar of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rose Marie Rivera of Portland and Emily M. Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas; and her sister Jannie Mayorga of Austin, Texas.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchildren.
