He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burns and Ruth Burns. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Duggar Burns; his children, Kenneth Burns (Christal), Susan Harkness and Crystal Ganschow; his pet Marley; and his siblings, Johnny Roy Burns, Edrie Ledbetter and Wanda Logan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes & Crematory - Aransas Pass (2003 W Wheeler Ave, Aransas Pass, TX 78336). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (2448 Morgan Ln, Ingleside, TX 78362). A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the Palms Memorial Gardens (4335 Co Rd 3567, Taft, TX 78390).
