Ellis was predeceased by: parents, J. W. McGaha and Leona Mae "Ellis" McGaha. Ellis is survived by: daughters, Vickie Brooks (Jeff) of Haltom City, TX and Angela Davidson (Kal) of Ovilla, TX; grandchildren, Seth Hatton (Laura), Kacie Lovelace (Josh), Brady Davidson (Kim) and Jena Whitaker (Ben); and great grandchildren, Brayden Hatton, Briley Hatton, Khyler Lovelace, Bevin Lovelace, Lincoln Lovelace, Jayden Davidson, Aubrey Davidson and Julia Whitaker.

A graveside service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oaklawn Cemetery.
