He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Tejada Cortina and Guadalupe Salas Luna. He is survived by: his wife Consuelo C. Tejada; his children, Griselda E. Chavarria, Jesus Tejada Jr., Sergio Tejada and Consuelo Tejada; and his siblings, Albino, Gerardo, Miguel Tejada, Maria Guadalupe Tejada and Trinidad Tejada. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Funeral Home - Irving (1225 E Irving Blvd, Irving, TX 75060). A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Cecilia Catholic Church (1809 W Davis St, Dallas, TX 75208). A burial was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Grove Memorial Garden (1413 E Irving Blvd, Irving, TX 75060).
