He is survived by: his wife Sandra Spray Claxton; his children, David Lynn Claxton Jr., Lana Gunter (Daniel), Lena Raley and Shonda Linette Waller; and his stepchildren, Cynthia Baker (Allan), Jenna Morgan (Edward), Barbara Hernandez (Eric), Jessis Spray (Michelle), Christina Nabors (Chad), Shanea, Heather, Allie Chamberlin (Jacob) and Cameron Higgs. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
