He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Godfrey, Sr. and Linda Godfrey (Williams). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Godfrey; his children, James Godfrey (Paige) of Dekalb, Amanda Thurman of Frankston and Jesse Godfrey III of College Station; and his siblings, Betty Phillips (Glen) of Athens and Jeffery Godfrey (Judy) of Kilgore. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
